How 2020 Changed Marketing

It goes without saying that 2020 changed everything. It was a devastating year with lots of adjustments, including changes in the way most people conduct business. Many things shifted to being remote and digital marketing became more important.

To be transparent digital marketing has always been important but in 2020 there came this new challenge of reaching your customer while maintaining social distancing and safety guidelines, this means there was a huge drop off in visits to traditional brick and mortar stores. This was a shift we started to see pre-pandemic with the success of amazon and other popular e-commerce businesses but the shut down solidified the need, and got people accustomed to shopping from their sofas. Not just small purchases but large ones as well.

Based on The CMO Survey done in August 2021 marketers use artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning about 11.8% of the time but this is expected to significantly increase to 37.7% over the next three years. Along with the growth of digital technology use, it is approximated that 58% of marketing budgets is now being spent on digital marketing activity. And it is predicted that budgeting for social media and mobile activities will continue to increase over the next five years.

So what does this mean for you? It means that if you haven’t gotten behind technology and creating a great customer experience online then we are here to help! With tools like visualizers, computer-generated imagery (CGI), high resolution texture creation, and 3D modeling we can create any product right from our offices (or anywhere in the world). CGI and other AI technology has many benefits when it comes to marketing, not only does it help give your customer an exciting experience, it helps to give them the information that they need to make a purchase without seeing the product in person. This technology can be used in the form of social media and digital marketing, website improvement and visualizers to showcase your product it can also capture your customer’s attention and keep them on your page for longer.

Technology and marketing is constantly changing and with the huge shift we have seen in just two years it is more important than ever to take advantage of what is working.
